If you ran a rescue and a dog's ownership is in question, wouldn't you take the dog off the adoptable page as well? Why accept applications on a dog that possibly already has a home? That to me wouldn't make sense. I highly, HIGHLY doubt they're hiding her, it's more a sign of respect while they are looking into it.
