This is just my pup, Buzz, and you will just have to see how your guy does...Buzz coughs, kinda the backwards cough, when the air is dry...When it's humid, as it will get in Houston, I don't hear him cough hardly at all...I see you're in Arizona, and I guess you couldn't be in a drier climate, but why not try a humidifier, where he hangs out, and see if he does any better...Also, I had Buzz checked out by his vet, x-rays, and all, and she saw no sign of collapsed trachea, but said he might have an elongated pallette, which might cause him to cough...
