Hmmm.... George is gift challenged so I have learned to prepare myself to smile and thank him for thinking about me no matter what the gift. The worst one? Probably the acrylic leopard-print caftan with matching slippers. Hint to men: NEVER give your S/O a CAFTAN, for crying out loud!
This year he really tried -- the TV in our bedroom died in November and he went right out and bought a really nice new one and had it wrapped up for my Christmas gift. But I can't go to sleep without the TV on so I bought a new one in early December and was just taking the empty box out to the garage when he came home and realized what was going on. So this year I got a portable water bowl, a food bowl, and a leash. I assume they were for Tallulah but in hindsight... ? He did spend the whole month of December grousing to our friends about how I had spoiled his surprise. But seriously -- how could he expect me to go a whole month without a TV at bedtime? |
