what scares me is not the gator i SEE..... it is if Remy gets away from us, runs in the neighbors back yard who does not have a fence and explores too close to water edge!!! Yes, one time it happened (the running away not the gator part), and the neighbors heard me screaming from miles away. Of course all turned out ok..but..........
In that picture the gator was swimming away from my dh and remy, I kind of new that but was still not happy at all. For the most part if you use common sense you are safe, but I have seen families picnicking with small children by a canal (Black Point Park) under a sign that says BEWARE OF GATORS!!!! are they for real?????
A few years there were three people killed by gators, all were doing something they shouldnt be doing.... like feeding gators!! One was sad though, a young lady was running, got hot and stopped to dangle her feet in the water...
As for killing them,, well they were here first. I don't really believe in killing wildlife if possible. But then again, I would kill to protect my babies!! With my bare hand
Or borrow Steve's gun!!
