I totally agree -- dogs are WAY smarter than people give them credit for!

Jackson knows wayyy too many words, it's ridiculous. He listens to me talking to other people and will try so hard to decipher what I'm trying to say. He perks up at a lot of words too.

I'm not going to lie, I totally talk to my dog in English, LOL. I will tell him what we're about to do, like if we're going to the park with the dogs I dogsit, I'll say "First, we're going to go on a walk with Shadow, then we're going to the park with Ezekiel." And he turns his head on key words like 'walk' 'Shadow' 'park' and 'Ezekiel', haha. He totally knows what I'm talking about, I just know it. If you talk to them enough, they will figure it out.

I've never really counted. I mean, I would guess he easily knows 100 or more, if including the tricks that he knows, and also little words and phrases like park, and different names and places, etc.
