Oh...and by the way it sounds like your vet has a good idea where the problem is. The best way to diagnose a pup is hands on ... doing it on the internet is a lost cause especially when it is neurological since there are so many different things it could be.
You are doing exactly what should be done by following up with a neurologist. Guessing what it is can only stress you out imho.
I have a pup here...a foster.....she has problems with her hind legs and my vet after a thorough exam and also xrays felt it was in the middle part of her back. Went to the neurologist who said the exact same thing. They are doing a myelogram and CT Scan this week to see what it is.
