I'm going through this now. Mia came home on 12/28 and she is still coughing. It's cough cough cough, gag. Like she is coughing up something. Her lungs too are clear and she has gained weight and is playing. Just has the cough. My vet told me if it does not clear up we should take her to the University of Penn. FINALLY, she seems to be coughing a little less. Someone said it can take months to go away. I'm pretty sure it's kennel cough. You do have to monitor him though because it can go into pnemonia. We had to have Mia constantly monitored, having her checked to make sure it did not go into pnemonia. She is tiny though. She is now 5 months and only 2 lbs. Elaine
