Thanks, Cindy, for posting these 2 articles! Personally, I think we should have a thread dedicated to this topic because it is so misunderstood.
The problem with the alpha roll is that it rarely works (yes, it works sometimes - so does beating them, but we don't advocate that either). Unfortunately, it quite often makes the problem worse.

I gotta tell ya that I have to laugh when people recommend this with a Yorkie. The visual of a 100-200lb human alpha-rolling a dog of under 10lbs cracks me up!
