I think it is very pretty and very appropriate with today's styles. Great choice! My son graduated in 2010 so I am fairly up-to-date on prom wear. In fact, I can think of 3 of the girl's dresses having different colored verisons with sort-of-animal prints in them. Love that look! One of my faves was a gorgeous hot pink, black & white dress and we found a perfectly matched hot pink dress shirt for my son. He gt big kudos for being manly enough to pull off the hot pink. He was happy because it had french cuffs and he has a thing for cuff links. Here is his senior prom date. His tie was made from the same material as his girlfriend's dress. I thought that was a nice touch. See what you think (sorry, I can't pass up any opportunity to show off pics of my good-lookin' son -- and his date is beautiful too!). He actually got to model his tux and got it 1/2 price at the local clothing store that rented tuxes.

Be sure to post pics of your daughter when she wears her dress! I LOVE looking at all the prom pics. Here they started wearing short dresses for homecoming but still very fancy and then they wear long dresses for Beau Dance (always around Vsalentine's Day & Girls ask the Boys) and Prom. One thing I really missed having all boys was the epic shopping trips for girls' dance dresses. I think that is why I made up for it with as many personal touches for my sons as they would allow.
