Default Help, need advice!

I joined this forum to get some advice...based on my sad heart, I think I know what the advice will be.

In August, we bought a Black Yorkie Poo named Molly. She was a silly, destructive, high-maintainance, but totally lovable dog.

I have four kids. I teach. My husband works. We are active, active, active. Because of the fact that we are never home, I felt it wasn't fair to the dog to spend so many hours by herself. We talked and talked and decided to give the dog to a home that had people there 24 hours a day.

However, my heart is breaking. My daughter's heart is breaking. Did we do the right thing? Is it fair to Molly to spend hours by herself? Maybe we made the right choice and it will just be hard for a while. Or maybe we need to get her back and because we all love her so much, she will fall into routine and be fine.
I just don't know. Please share your thoughts.
