Yes, I agree that carseats are safer all the way around. Zhoie would love nothing better than to sit in my lap...but her safety comes first. Believe me, I do have to remind myself sometimes so I don't give in.
We have 2 Snoozer carseats. Started out with one in the backseat, until she was about 1.5, but then I also got a console seat and that's where she rides the most now.
They definitely make them big enough for 2. My friend puts all 3 of hers in one seat.
