Be careful about reprimanding for indoor mistakes. If you get angry when you catch him pooping indoors he may misunderstand and just think you will get angry if he poops at all and he will just get sneakier about it and may be afraid to poop in front of you outside as well.

I never thought about that. But then how else are you supossed to train them and teach them that it's bad to go inside? Kelsey "hides" her poop from me and when I find it she's not too far with a "uh oh mommy found it" look on her face. I tell her "no" and then take her outside right away and tell her to go potty and say "good girl" even if she doesn't go so she knows that it's ok to go outside.
