Sounds like she needs some activity to drain or redirect her energy. I wouldn't crate train this pup. Find a taller gate or a tall xpen, maybe one with a top, to confine her to a small area that you can safely clean. If taking her out for potty breaks is safe with her age/giardia, be sure to take her frequently. Be sure to praise profusely and maybe give a small treat when she potties correctly either outside or on the pad.
