How long ago did you get the diagnosis? If you can't afford it, and you haven't had any luck with assistance, you need to make a decision.
Put him down or give him up. I would give him to a reputable rescue where he will be in good hands. Waiting for a miracle to happen while he gets worse is cruel. I think you already got your answer in the other thread you posted. At this point, any decision is better than letting him suffer.
