I have only used a stud twice for a pick back to the breeder..both were show breeders and both were very kind to take their pick at 12 weeks. One clarified before breeding she wanted pick female...and since there were 3 males and one female, the choice was simple.
When I had studs, I agreed to the sex and age before breeding. As a rule I asked for a female by 12 weeks...never liked the lock a breeder into waiting for months and months...one friend got stuck keeping 4 males for 9 months...never get in a contract like that... |
