If there is any way you could do it, I would seriously consider buying. This is an ideal time to buy if you have a job you can depend on. The interest rates and prices are making history they are so low! I am thinking of buying another home (something smaller) and then try to hold on to this one until prices move back up a bit. There is nothing like owning your own place -- especially when you are a pet owner. There are more responsibilities but also so many more freedoms! You may be plesantly surprised too -- most are finding they can buy a bigger place and pay less money than they are in rent! Just throwing the idea out there for you to think about. Everyone has a unique situation so it isn't the right answer for all.
