It has to be one of the hardest things anyone does is to take care of a parent with dementia. We took care of my mom for 8yrs. SHe had Parkinson's and later dementia that was horrible to say the least. She thought people were living in the walls. SHe thought she seen rats and all kinds of things. SHe slept during the day and was up all nite. The meds caused alot of that. She would let out blood curdling screams sometimes. My health is completely gone. Would I do it again?? Absolutely. I loved my mom and it was the hardest thing in the world to see her fade away into her own little world. Whats hard too, is they pull you in that world if you are not careful. I was in worst shape than she was when she passed away. Dementia has got to be the pits. Now one of my little furbabies has it. Will love her anyway until she takes her last breath. Life can really be hard and they call it our Golden Years!!!!!!!!
