I totally agree with Lexi43.

I see post all the time saying that they are having to move into a smaller place because of job cuts, etc and so they are having to rehome their pets.

Rental Business's really need to start understanding the healing power of owning a pet. Sometimes the people who need them and their unconditional acceptance are those who are going through a rough time.

I know that when I am having a bad day my Jillian jumps up and gives me a kiss and it seems to improve my attitude. I can count on one hand how many bad days I have had where my babies were not able to improve my outlook on the day.

I think a pet deposit should clear it for people to have a pet in their place.
If they are worried about fleas/ticks or damage then require the apartment to be inspected once a quarter or something. If you are a responsible pet owner then you are going to be doing things right anyway, inspection or not.

More business's (not food stores) need to let animals in also.

Okay I am getting off my soap box now . I can get carried away. I just cannot imagine my life without the love that my animals give me. I HAD to live animals free for 3 years and I can tell you that I can look back and see how lifes changes effected me differently then they do now. I cant help but think that the pets make a difference.
