Your Lexi is beautiful! I agree with Gail and Kristen, buy the sampler and try out the products first.
I don't think it makes the hair look greasy, I apply it, let it dry for a bit, then comb it through the hair.
Personally, I don't care for the Vellus conditioner at all, it dried out my kids coats the couple times I tried it
I haven't used the shampoo so I can't comment on that, we have stuck with Espree shampoos and conditioners for a couple years now as they work good on all my babies. But I LOVE Vellus anti-static spray for their daily brushings.
