I would personally prefer NV Instinct over Solid Gold.
But both are good foods.
I fed NV Instinct for a while. Their whole philosophy is that rotation is a good thing, that's why it's called Natures
Variety.
Jackson did not like the chicken either and I've heard a lot of dogs don't. I rotated between their rabbit and duck & turkey meal formula.
I now feed Orijen and Acana, but I do still use NV Instinct canned foods.
