I would try to find out from Poppy's owner who these other owners are so you can ask them what the kidney problem was. Some kidney problems may run in families so knowing that information may help you to talk to your vet about it. Ask Poppy's owner if you can have their telephone #s so you can ask about it. I'm sure they would love to talk to you. I know if anyone of Teddy's littermates wanted to talk to me about any problem they might have, I'd be more than happy to share information with them and compare notes.
