Default another puppy

I agree, my first thought was they sold the puppy for more than they paid for it and see it as a way to make extra money. You were very right not to give them another puppy. Since your contract said the puppy was to come back to you you do have some options. You said you don't want to sue but sometimes just the mention of it is enough to get action. I would send them a certified letter (looks more official) and tell them they read and signed the contract and it's up to them to get the puppy back to you or you will be going to court. That leaves them having to give what ever money back that they may have made off the puppy. Including the fact that they violated the contract so the puppy comes b ack to you not them. It may be worth a try or at least get you to who has the puppy now. Good luck.
