Does anyone have any experience with a prolapsed third eyelid, or cherry eye with any of your dogs? My little baby, 16 week old malti-tzu, just developed this (or so it appears) yesterday in one eye. Of course when I saw it I didn't know what it was so I googled what I saw and I saw several photos that looked exactly like it and several articles about it. The membrane is showing in the lower inner corner and it is teary and sometimes mucus-y. She doesn't act as though she is in any pain, but most of what I read sounded like if left untreated it could be pretty bad.

I'm calling in to work & taking her to the vet first thing in the morning. I was just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with their dogs and what the course of treatment was.
