 Need help with new pup
To start I am not a breeder. I took in a breeder surrender and found out she was pregnant. That was 6 weeks ago. Her baby boy was born last night. He weighed in at 4oz which is apparently fine. I am worried about mommy. She has been panting a lot today, but refuses to drink. Is this normal? I have never had any of my babies give birth and am totally lost. I don't have kids myself so I cannot even relate. Puppy seems to be nursing, but is more vocal than I expected. Every time Julie moves he whines. Is her panting normal and do newborns whine frequently if the mom moves? |
