The breeder offered to return the pup for a refund. It had only been a few days and you refused. I just don't see how you can take her to court and win. Maybe it's just me but if I would have paid $1800 I would have turned around that day and returned her.

And, what would happen to the pup if she were returned? Under NJ Lemon Law you have the right to retain the pup and have the vet bills paid up to double the price of the pup OR return the pup for a full refund plus the vet expenses incurred up to that point. Call me stupid, but if the pup was sold sick, what makes you think they'd take the time to vet and cure her? My feelings were she was sold sick, and would probably be resold to someone else sick. I chose to attempt to cure her rather then send her back. I do not think it's a matter of winning in court. I'm sure I will get the judgment as I followed the NJ Puppy Lemon Law, but I do not think I will ever see the money and although I'd like to get it back this is more about exposing and hopefully putting an end to her selling and brokering sick dogs. I know it's a pup but to me sending her back sick, was not an option. It would be like sending a sick child back. That is how I feel.
