I guess (but I don't know, someone correct me if I'm wrong) they could do a screen grab, then open it up in photo editing software, crop the image to include only the photo, and maybe then remove the watermark. Someone looking for shortcuts is probably going to move on to some other picture rather than go to so much trouble (hopefully). Update: I did hear back from Delores. She has sent the scammer / thief a cease and desist notice, and I gave her the email address for reporting copyright violations to dot tk.
If you put the watermark right in the middle of the photo (e.g. right ON TOP of the pup) they cannot crop it out without ruining the image. Sure it affects the photo a bit, but if done right it isn't TOO invasive and it keeps things from getting stolen.

Glad you got to the bottom of this then! I'm happy that she was able to do something about it. Thanks for being a super sleuth!
