Hi Everyone! I've been an avid YT reader since I got my lil Yorkie pup, but I have hardly posted. I had a question. Has anyone trained their yorkie to be a therapy dog? My little pup is 4 months old and starts her first (basic) training class tomorrow. I know she'll do great b/c she's super smart (she is a yorkie, after all!) and she's picked up on all of her tricks very quickly. I think training her to help out others would be a great experience for both of us. She loves people (children too), just like her mama!
I know they cannot start until they're at least one. Is there anything I should be doing in the meantime to get ready for this, aside from training her on what she needs to know? Also, it would be great to hear some experiences from people who have done this!!! Thanks for your time
