Awww... poor pup!

As you know I am in MD too. Close to Rockville and Bethesda.
My vet told me to not stop the K9 Advantix and to use it all year.
So I do. No little critters on my little critters! Knock on wood.
As far as the head if it is a big piece I would take him to the vet or try to pull it yourself. I use the little spoon with the slit when I have to pull one.
Put some alcohol and then Neosporin on it. (My dh's dog had ticks I pulled ff a few time when she was on Frontline...before we were married)
I am mean...I would have put the K9 Advantix on it and killed it (evil laugh).
Ticks suck!!!! YUCK!

PS My vet matches the price of Dr.s Foster Smith so I get a great price
