Thanks so much for all the prayers and good thoughts! Y'all are amazing! Dustin did very well with his surgery. The doc was able to repair both injuries and Dustin was one tough kid! Everyone kept telling us this was a very painful surgery but Dustin was doing well and not complaining at all. He even turned down the nerve block they offered as extra post-pain relief. He said he did not like the sound of a needle in his neck.
But around 10 pm tonight the pain started in with a vengeance. He decided to go ahead and take some pain pills. I know he will have a rough couple of days but hope the pain subsides after that. Continued prayers for a smooth recovery are welcomed! I am so relieved the surgery is done. It was outpatient surgery but any time you go under general anesthesia it is a little scary to me.
