these are great advice, especially the TV or music. I use a sound machine hoping that the calming noises can allow him to sleep while I'm gone.
I, too, give Duke treat and tell him that "mommy's going to work" so he can learn that means I'm leaving. Depends on how old yours is, it might take some time.
