What I would like for him to do is learn to scratch the door or something to let us know he needs to be relieved. Don't know if this is possible. Will keep my fingers crossed and keep trying to train him. I also want to learn to groom him--so good luck to me with that. He doesn't always stay still....This is the first dog I've ever owned and I did not know dogs (Yorkies) were this much work but soooo much fun! I am truly enjoying every moment with my little boy...
Hello, It has taken me quite some time to get back to your post....the site keeps refusing my log in.

Our Yorkie is 8 months as well....and he is pretty much trained except like you said when we do respond to his signs. That's our fault. He loves to go for walks but here in MI its pretty cold right now so we limit it to 1 a day.....more for me than for him I expect.

Yorkies are a lot of work.....you are right...but they are also very sweet. Our little guy can be hardheaded as well. Some walks don't go as well as others. LOL

Enjoy your little guy.
