Default Am I wrong? I need feedback asap!

I am in NJ right now helping my boyfriend move from his other apartment. Anyway.. his roommate over here has a Lhasa Apso. Very sweet boy. But I am not sure if she takes care of him as much.. Then at the same time, I do a little bit more than others when I dog sit.

Anyway.. let me start.. So.. I guess the owner leaves the house over 12 hrs a day evey day. She doesn't seem to be here on the weekend. Her roommate is usually out for 10 hours during the day and usually plays with the dog. Anyway I should get to the point. When nobody is in the apartment, they put him in a small kennel, crate.. I just came back from lunch and he was in this tiny crate and his drool was all over the floor. I felt so bad!! I know people do crate training..... I need to learn more about that. I just feel that it is really tiny space.. and I will never put him in the small place. Maybe if it were larger.. and if she can walk around.. but not like the one that he might just be cable to turn around.. without bed.. Hmm.. maybe.. this is normal.. I just felt bad to the dog.. I was gonna head to city.. but might wait for someone else to come home.

Let me know.. what you guys think!! Do you leave your dog in the crate ?
