I don't know about love birds but I do know this I have a Senegal Parrott that is 16 years old and I've had sinse he was 10 weeks old. He has never been kept in a cage except at night and that was for safty purposes. Birds do get night frights. Anyway I had to make a barrier out of branches (looks Awesome) to separate him from Andy. He would hang off the bottem of the cage and call Andy (C'mere C'mere) and poor sucker Andy fell for it every time. Scooter would try to bite him.
It would work for you under controled supervision and wing clipping
