Zoey looks quite dignified and beautiful in your photo. Hopefully she is just reserved and will open up once she becomes more comfortable. Maybe have your daughter try the game of find with any special treats Zoey may like. I will make Buster stay and then walk a little away and put the food down where he can see me doing it then I tell him to find it and he runs to the treat. I then make it a little harder to find. This way your daughter can play without toys. Zoey may have never had the opportunity to learn how to play so you may have to teach her. Teaching simple tricks can be great fun and rewarding for both your daughter and Zoey. I would not worry about the barking too much. Many people have a hard time keeping their dog from barking as it annoys their neighbors so you don't have that issue to deal with. Good luck with your lovely new yorkie.
