I quickly got on the phone with his breeder (as her daughter is a close friend) and she said to immediately get unflavored pedialyte and feed it to him through a baby sipper. After about 5 sips of the pedialyte Oak started to come around. She then told me to get raw chicken, from a can, and feed it to him in little bites. He was fine within about 30 min. This has happened 3 times since and the vet said it isn't a rare occasion! Hope your puppies better! |
Pedialyte has a lot of ingredients that are not intended for dogs...when my Scoobers had diarrhea (he ate a bar of soap!) the vet said never to give it-Anyone else ever heard of this cure?
Raw canned chicken...sounds nasty to me, who cans raw chicken? never heard of it!
I was always told about Karo, Nutrical and the generic prescription of it-forget the name-wish the Op would post an update...this no update seems worrying.
