I have a silky coat and a cotton coat and it is the cotton coat that flashes green. The silky coated one is definitely "gold" in a camera's flash.
Sorry -- green has always been for a silky coat and the reddish/orangish is cotton. Sometimes it is misleading with newer cameras that have built-in red eye prevention that may distort the natural eye shine. But you can use a flashlight on a dark night and shine directly in their eyes to see the eye shine too. There is a scientific reason behind it -- linked genetic traits.
