I agree 100% with Rhetts_mama. I must admit I was one of those people who looked at people with toy breeds (including YTs) that coddled and babied them as crazy. I didn't get it because I never had one. NOW I get it. I got it as soon as I decided I wanted a little pup to be my companion and started researching.

You care about them because they NEED you. They need you to know all this stuff and do all this stuff because they can't. The lengths we go to may seem crazy to those that don't have little pups, but once you have one you know that those are just things that should be done for them.

Don't let others who misunderstand make you feel bad. I know I've stopped listening to them and trust me I was given a lot of grief. I am now labeled a "hypocrite" and I get a lot of "see you did turn into a crazy dog lady despite you saying you would never be like that." But my baby is healthy and happy, just the way it should be
