Also check your local laws to see if their are any puppy lemon laws if there is anything that the vet says is of concern. Several states in the US have these laws which the breeder must reimburse you the vet fees up to the cost of the puppy if anything is found to be genetic. I'm not sure of the laws in Canada, but please check up on it. Also if there is a BBB or something similar in your country. Have you googled the breeder to see if there have been any open cases in the past?
