People misname dogs all the time; this could have just as easily been a West Highland Terrier, a Maltese or a mix breed. I'm always reading this antidote as proof that the parti has been around for years. Are there any types of AKC records for this? Just because he was a famous writer, it doesn't mean everything that was written about him and his family is true.
