You're really on the ball! I can offer some crate advice. Attached is the crate we bought for Sophie when she came home to us. Now she is 2 and weighs 5lbs and still likes to go into her "doggie den" to take naps. I would suggest getting one large enough for her to grow. I like ours because it opens at the little door and on top. It has locking wheels for mobility and is easily broken down for traveling. Ours fits in the back of our SUV without taking it apart. It has mahogany corners so it look nice in any room. Keep us updated on your yorkie search
