I agree -- if she won't be open about why she is not offering limited AKC registration, I would not give her my money, even for a pet. If I were guessing, it would be that she did not have full registration on one or more parent or that she was unsure of the sire. The first instance, I would NEVER want to do business with. The second instance, if a breeder was open and said, two sires are possbile, both AKC registered and I don't want to go through DNA testing, then you could consider a pet. Just know that you should only pay unregistered pet price.
