IMO, there wouldn't be a "good price." The breeder may have her reasons for not registering the litter, but it sounds suspect. Especially if she got defensive when you questioned it. I would look elsewhere, at at the most, pay only enough to cover the costs of vaccinations. I personally would not pay for an unregistered dog from a breeder. The way I see it, there is no reason to "settle" when there are other breeders out there.
