I'm into full disclosure with my customers and when I don't register a litter I tell them exactly why. Times I've done it have been when there were multiple sires and the litter produced no show prospects, therefore the expense and trouble of DNA testing to sort out paternity would be wasteful. Most people are happy to take an unregistered puppy for a reduced price, all other considerations checking out OK--references, vet checks, etc.
