I've had my fair share of hand raising babies (even a cleft pallet baby) and I always used a premie nipple. worked PERFECT.
This past year I have to raise a litter of 5 right from birth as mom had PRE eclampsia and they did wonderful. I make a home made formula and the babies totally THRIVE on it. They were the fattest little butterballs I ever seen haha.
its alot of hard work, trust me....but I will tell you I actually looked forward to their feedings. Mom and I worked together. She wore a onsie (of course I had to go buy her the most cutest ones and change them up all the time LOL) and she stayed with the babies 24/7. she did everything else and I fed them.
Good luck to you. Please post an update when you have time
