Try a little ball with a long rope on it to start you make consider one of those cat toys that has a pole and then astring... that's how I started with Scoober a mini kong works great too to add a rope runing through it and also add a treat inside to invoke interest. Eventually I got to the point just my finger was in the kong. Our favorite toy here is the Pet Stages rag rope ball since it has so many ropes all over, we throw it then tug over it (but my dogs still know drop it). Gradually work back up and I'm sure your baby knows it was an accident especially if you calmly comforted and made attempts to continue play-my Elvis (Yorkie) acts the same as your Thor and I've never been able to get him to play tug, we play chase your squeeker instead but to be honest he doesn't do many "dog" things he's the dictionary definition of a lap dog |
