Obviously it is your choice to not ship your pups, but I think it's unfair that you would place me in a category due to circumstance that are not entirely in my control. I understand your concern because flights can be very stressful on pets (not just yorkies) but sometimes people have no choice and must ship their pet so they can still be with them.
I honestly don't even see a reason for this post, it sounds like you are attempting to get a rise out of people who do ship dogs, or have had them shipped to them. Take a step back and realize that not everyone in the world walks in the same shoes as you, and don't be quite so offensive towards them just because they have different circumstances. |
We had to ship our cat over an international flight from Germany to the states because of the military. She had to be quarantined for 10 days I believe and we had absolutely no choice because of international guidelines and customs. I will say she was slightly traumatized because she was mistreated during the flight, but like you said it was either ship her or re-home her. I was a toddler when all this went on, so it wasn't my choice, but she went on to live a normal, happy life for 18 years until she died 2 years ago.
