If you are getting him neutered, do him and yourself a favor, and make sure that they do a laser procedure. If the vet has not suggested it, ask him about it. I was only charged about $50 more for having the procedure.I have had it done both ways and the scapel incisions take a lot longer to heal and there is more inflammation: both internal and external. Bra'Tac,our newest, had laser and never licked the area and was up and about the next day, as if nothing had happened. If I would have known about this procedure for our 1st pup, it would have saved him a lot of undue pain.
