EVERY one of the animal control officers knows the situation...and we only have ONE shelter local. The only way to look at the dogs is to tell someone why you are there! The found sign was a COLOR sign that couldn't be missed. Any phone call made to animal control also comes THRU the 911 center....in which I would be made aware of it!
I'm trying to tell you that I have done SO MUCH to try to get this dog reunited with an owner that is at least TRYING! BUT you lilliemae seem to be hung up on this whole newspaper thing...which I have checked for LOST ads...something they should have taken out if that was the only avenue they were going to persue to find their lost dog! |
There is really no need to take offense. I have dedicated my Life to rescuing animals off the streets and have been doing so for more then 20 yrs. I'm simply trying to let you know how most animals are returned to their owners. Also most news papers run free found adds but the lost adds can be costly, so if this little one belonged to an Elderly person who may be on a Fixed income they may not be able to afford the lost add. That does not mean they don't have the rite to have their dog back. Also I guarantee Most members here have had their dog at one time or another escape their home or yard, does that make All of us Bad owners ? I do appreciate all You have done for this little one and if her owner is never found , I trust you will do rite by her. You did come here for help, suggestions and that's simply all I was trying to offer.
