I'm gonna try to reply to as much as I can...
I didn't run an ad in the newspaper, mostly cause I didn't think about it...BUT, I feel like I did so many other things to try and reach out to whoever could have lost her. I mean, wouldn't any logical person call animal control to make sure their dog was not picked up (alive or deceased) in the area? I cannot imagine loving a dog and not reaching out and SEARCHING if my baby was lost.
As far as her personality--it's hard to tell. She is laid back and not very affectionate...but she likes to lay with you and just be close to people. She is very calm and obedient...and doesn't really like to be bothered by other dogs. I don't think she was a dog used for breeding...mostly cause she is fixed and her belly and nipples don't look like anything that has nurtured puppies, at least not recently.
I've gotten some good responses. One lady that lives close to me on a small farm with no other inside dogs is looking for a dog to baby and love---definitely seems like a GREAT home!
I just wanted to use this resource to kind of make sure I'm doing what's best for her...and not leaving anything out. She is a really good dog and definitely deserves a loving home!
