Take her the vet, because INFECTIONS are common and serious...especially that close to the brain, get antibiotics. Do you know how it happened? You are not supposed to give Yorkies raw hide-I'm not entirely sure why tho...everyone on here swears by "bully sticks" if by soft food you mean wet food-ye wet food is not the best for teeth my Elvis was on wet food and junk kibble and his teeth at 2 years old needed a full scraping and the vet estimated he had the teeth of 6 year old already, really it depends on the type of kibble you feed too-Greenies are great I use them all the time! They still need cleanings, but at 2 years old you shouldn't have many tooth issues. Do you brush your Yorkie's teeth regularly? It could be a total freak thing too, happened to a cat I had as a child-he got it stuck on a toy flipped out and popped his tooth out, we took him the vet he got antibiotics and was fine, never had an issue despite missing and incisor, I imagine it's the same for cat's and dogs.
